Waterworks Museum Boston Wedding | Matt & Lindsey | Lefebvre Photo

"Matt and I met at the Boston Architectural College in 2010. We were both beginning the Master of Architecture program, and met in our first class on the first day of our first semester. However, it wasn't until we were assigned to the same group project in our Design Principles class that we really got to know each other. We began meeting in the library on a regular basis to work on the project and eventually became friends. Matt suggested we get together outside of school a couple of times, but we could never find a time that worked with both of our busy schedules. Finally, on the last day of classes, Matt asked me out a final time, and I had no reason to say no. We ended up at a friend's apartment in Back Bay, and Matt kissed me on the roof deck. We've been together ever since!

Matt graduated with his Master of Architecture degree on May 22, 2015. His family traveled to Boston for the occasion, and on the last night they were here, May 23rd, Matt asked me to take a walk with him alone around the Chestnut Hill Reservoir near where we live. About halfway around, Matt got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, and of course, I said "Yes!"

We decided to get married in Boston, where we've made our home together. Our Wedding Reception will be held at the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum on the Chestnut Hill Reservoir, within walking distance of our home and in site of our engagement spot. This unique building houses historic machines that once pumped water from the Reservoir to the residents of the City of Boston! We love the building for its stunning architecture, history, and beauty, and could not have chosen a more fitting place to celebrate the beginning of our lives together!

We wanted to bring a personal touch to our wedding and designed and handmade our invitations and stationary. For a touch of Matt's home state of Texas, we have mini pecan pies as our favors." - Lindsey
